The Giving Back to the Society Seminar, hosted annually by The Richling Institute, is held on the last Saturday of July, marking a significant day dedicated to youth empowerment and community development in Ghana.
Since its inception on July 29, 2023, this seminar has provided a transformative platform for over 100 young people each year, equipping them with practical skills, knowledge, and a robust network to drive impactful change within their communities.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the seminar contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education by offering practical skills and knowledge that support inclusive, equitable education and lifelong learning; SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by enhancing employability and entrepreneurial potential; SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by providing equal access to resources for young people from diverse backgrounds; SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities by encouraging participants to foster positive, sustainable changes in their communities; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaborations with local organizations, educational institutions, and industry experts to amplify its impact.
Guided by a vision to positively influence over 10,000 youth within the next decade, the seminar’s core goals are to build essential life skills, foster leadership qualities, and connect individuals with mentors and peers who share a commitment to social progress. Each session features hands-on training workshops, expert-led discussions, and networking opportunities that prepare participants to take on leadership roles and initiatives that benefit their communities.

The seminar usually takes place at Greater Kumasi but in 2025 the seminar will also be hosted at Greter Accra. Details about the venue and directions will be sent to registered participants closer to the event date.
